सोनीपत के पुरखास गांव में 9 जनवरी,2021 को कुश्ती के इनामी दंगल का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। यह दंगल श्री श्री 1008 संत शिरोमणि गुरु बाबा प्रकाश पुरी जी महाराज के परम शिष्य रवि पुरी जी महाराज स्वर्गीय बिजेंदर पहलवान उर्फ बिज़्जा पहलवान की याद में दूसरा कुश्ती दंगल व भंडारे का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

जवाब:- मेरा नाम विकास गुलिया है। मैं कुश्ती कोच हूं। बाबा प्रकाश पुरी अखाड़े में, यह अखाड़ा पुरखास धीरान गांव में स्थित है।
सवाल:- आप के कार्यक्रम की रूपरेखा क्या है?
जवाब:- हम 9 जनवरी 2021 को कुश्ती का दंगल करवाने जा रहे हैं। बाबा प्रकाश पुरी अखाड़े में स्वर्गीय बिजेंद्र पहलवान जी की यादगार में यह उनकी याद में दूसरा दंगल है बाबा प्रकाश पुरी अखाड़े में।
सवाल:- कहां से पहलवान आएंगे दंगल में?
जवाब:- दिल्ली, पंजाब और यूपी से इस दंगल में पहलवान शिरकत करेंगे।
सवाल:- इस दंगल में कौन-कौन से स्तर के पहलवान शामिल होंगे?

सवाल:- यह दंगल जिस की स्मृति में किया जा रहा है उसके बारे में थोड़ी जानकारी हमें और हमारे पाठकों को जरूर दें?
जवाब:- स्वर्गीय बिजेंदर पहलवान ने 12 साल की उम्र में पहलवानी शुरु की थी। उन्होंने 26 साल की उम्र में स्टॉक का काम किया 15 साल तक । इधर गांव पुरखास में कुश्ती का अखाड़ा बंद हो गया था। फिर उन्होंने गांव के बच्चों को खेतों में कुश्ती के दांव पर सिखाने शुरू किए, बाद में यहीं पर अखाड़ा शुरू किया। बाबा प्रकाश पुरी के नाम से जो गुड़गांव वाले हैं। जो बच्चे यहां पर प्रैक्टिस करते हैं। उसके 5 साल के बाद हृदय गति रुकने के कारण उनका देहांत हो गया।
