कुलपति प्रो.राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत ने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की खेल सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं, अबकी बार तीन ऑल इंडिया स्तर की व दो जोन स्तर की प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन विश्वविद्यालय में किया जा रहा है। डीसीआरयूएसटी, मुरथल में उत्तर क्षेत्रीय अंतर महिला विश्वविद्यालय प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

सोनीपत: दीनबंधु छोटू राम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल ने उत्तर क्षेत्रीय अंतर विश्वविद्यालय महिला लॉन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता में 18 टीमें शामिल हुई हैं। पहले मैच में डा.भीम राव अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, आगरा की टीम को पहले मैच में पराजित कर दिया।

कोरोना संक्रमण के कारण प्रतियोगिता दो वर्ष के बाद आयोजित की जा रही है। छात्र कल्याण अधिष्ठाता प्रो.विजय शर्मा, खेल निदेशक डा.बिरेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा, प्रो.सुमन सांगवान व प्रो.पवन दहिया , विभिन्न टीमों के कोच व प्रबंधक उपस्थित थे।
खेल निदेशक डा. बिरेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने कहा कि प्रतियोगिता का पहला मैच डीसीआरयूएसटी,मुरथल व डा.भीमराव अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, आगरा के मध्य खेला गया। एकल प्रतिस्पर्धा में में मेजबान विश्वविद्यालय की तरफ से मुस्कान देवेश्वर ने खेलते हुए डा.अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय की काजल वर्मा को 7-0 से पराजित कर दिया। दूसरी एकल प्रतिस्पर्धा मुकाबले में मेजबान विश्वविद्यालय की दीपाक्षी ने आगरा विश्वविद्यालय की पूनम को 7-1 से पराजित कर दिया।
