मुंबई : अनुष्का शर्मा के प्रशंसक खुशी मनाते हैं क्योंकि अभिनेत्री को आखिरी बार 2018 की फिल्म जीरो में देखा गया था, उन्होंने गुरुवार को अपनी अगली परियोजना की घोषणा की। चकड़ा एक्सप्रेस नाम की फिल्म नेटफ्लिक्स पर ओटीटी रिलीज होगी।
चकड़ा एक्सप्रेस उनके और पति विराट कोहली की बेटी वामिका के जन्म के बाद अनुष्का शर्मा की पहली परियोजना है, जिसका 2021 में इस जोड़े ने स्वागत किया।
यह फिल्म पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान झूलन गोस्वामी के जीवन पर आधारित है, जिसमें अनुष्का शर्मा ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई है। फिल्म से एक टीज़र साझा करते हुए, अनुष्का ने लिखा: “यह वास्तव में एक विशेष फिल्म है क्योंकि यह अनिवार्य रूप से जबरदस्त बलिदान की कहानी है।

चकड़ा एक्सप्रेस पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान झूलन गोस्वामी के जीवन और समय से प्रेरित है और यह महिला क्रिकेट की दुनिया में आंखें खोलने वाली होगी। ऐसे समय में जब झूलन ने क्रिकेटर बनने और अपने देश को वैश्विक मंच पर गौरवान्वित करने का फैसला किया, महिलाओं के लिए खेल खेलने के बारे में सोचना भी बहुत मुश्किल था।
अनुष्का ने साझा किया कि फिल्म कई उदाहरणों की एक नाटकीय रीटेलिंग है जिसने उनके जीवन और महिला क्रिकेट को भी आकार दिया।

अनुष्का ने कहा कि झूलन का जीवन इस बात का जीवंत प्रमाण है कि जुनून और दृढ़ता किसी भी या सभी प्रतिकूलताओं पर विजय प्राप्त करती है और ‘चकड़ा एक्सप्रेस’ उस समय महिला क्रिकेट की इतनी रसीली दुनिया में सबसे निश्चित नजरिया नहीं है।
