आज न्यूजीलैंड नामीबिया से भिड़ेगा। अगर नामीबिया न्यूजीलैंड को हरा देता है तो कीवी टीम को ग्रुप 2 में दो हार का सामना करना पड़ेगा जिससे भारत को फायदा होगा। भले ही भारत तीनों मैच जीत जाए, लेकिन उसके सेमीफाइनल में पहुंचने की संभावना अफगानिस्तान बनाम न्यूजीलैंड मैच के परिणाम पर निर्भर करेगी। भारत को उम्मीद होगी कि अफगानिस्तान न्यूजीलैंड पर जीत दर्ज करेगा अन्यथा टी 20 विश्व कप 2021 में भारत के लिए यह सब खत्म हो जाएगा।
अगर अफगानिस्तान न्यूजीलैंड को हरा देता है, तो भारत, न्यूजीलैंड और अफगानिस्तान लीग चरण के अंत तक अपनी झोली में छह-छह अंक हासिल कर लेंगे और फिर तीनों टीमों में सबसे अधिक नेट रन रेट वाली टीम सेमीफाइनल में पहुंच जाएगी। अगर न्यूजीलैंड अपने बचे हुए दोनों मैच जीत जाती है तो वह सेमीफाइनल में पहुंच जाएगी और इस साल विश्व कप में भारत का अभियान खत्म हो जाएगा।
