प्रदेश स्तरीय हुई प्रतियोगिता खेलो हरियाणा में सोनीपत के खिलाडिय़ों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए 14 स्वर्ण पदकों के साथ 53 पदक जीते हैं। उधर पैरालंपिक खिलाड़ी सुमित अंतिल ने पैरालंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक जीतकर देश का नाम रोशन किया है। उनके ऐतिहासिक प्रदर्शन पर देशवासियों को गर्व है।

सोनीपत: प्रदेश स्तरीय हुई प्रतियोगिता खेलो हरियाणा में सोनीपत के खिलाडिय़ों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए 14 स्वर्ण पदकों के साथ 53 पदक जीते हैं। उधर पैरालंपिक खिलाड़ी सुमित अंतिल ने पैरालंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक जीतकर देश का नाम रोशन किया है। उनके ऐतिहासिक प्रदर्शन पर देशवासियों को गर्व है।
जिला खेल एवं युवा कार्यक्रम अधिकारी ज्योति रानी ने बताया कि खेलो हरियाणा का आयोजन प्रदेश के छह जिलों में करवाया गया, जिसमें सोनीपत के 406 महिला-पुरूष खिलाड़ी शामिल हुए। जिला के खिलाडिय़ों ने 53 पदक जीते हैं जिनमें से 14 स्वर्ण पदक तथा 16 रजत और 23 कांस्य पदक शामिल है। जिला के खिलाडिय़ों ने सर्वाधिक स्वर्ण पदक (पांच) एथलेटिक्स में जीते हैं। एथलेटिक्स में दो रजत व एक कांस्य सहित कुल आठ पदक प्राप्त किये। जबकि अधिकांश पदक कुश्ती में जीते हैं। कुश्ती में तीन स्वर्ण पदक व दो रजत तथा आठ कांस्य पदक सहित कुल 13 पदक जीते हैं।
