विधायक सुरेंद्र पंवार ने कहा कि इंदिरा गांधी जी ने प्रत्येक वर्ग के उत्थान के लिए नई योजनाएं बनाई। भारत को आर्थिक और औद्योगिकसक्षम राष्ट्र बनाया। उनके कार्यकाल में ही भारत ने विज्ञान व अनुसंधान में बहुत प्रगति की थी, उस समय पहली बार एक भारतीय ने चांद पर कदम रखा था, जोकि देश के लिए काफी गर्व का विषय था।

सोनीपत: विधायक सुरेंद्र पंवार ने कहा कि भारत की पहली महिला प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी का जीवन न सिर्फ प्ररेणादायक है बल्कि देश में महिला सशक्तिकरण के इतिहास का महत्वपूर्ण अध्याय भी है। उनके कार्यकाल में भारत ने विकास के नए आयाम स्थापित किए। विधायक सुरेंद्र पंवार जिला कांग्रेस भवन में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी जी की जयंती पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने के उपरांत शहरवासियों को संबोधित कर रहे थे।

उन्होंने कहा कि उनका देश के प्रति समर्पण भाव सभी को यादगार है,उनका दृढ विश्वास अद्वितीय था। उनके दिखाए मार्ग पर चलकर ही एक समृद्ध समाज का निर्माण किया जा सकता है। उन्होंने हमेशा भारत को नई ऊंचाई पर लेन जाने की कोशिश की। इस दौरान बड़ी संख्या में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता व गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद रहे।
