टोक्यो पैरालंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाले सुमित सम्मानित करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खुद खिलाड़ी के लिए उसके पैतृक गांव खेवड़ा में चार सितंबर को आएंगे। इससे पहले खिलाडिय़ों को स्वयं मुख्यमंत्री के पास जाना पड़ता था।

यह बात सांसद रमेश कौशिक ने गुरूवार को रेलवे रोड स्थित मीडिया सेंटर मेंं पत्रकारवार्ता में कही। ओलंपिक पदक विजेताओं को सर्वाधिक ईनाम राशि हरियाणा सरकार दे रही है। हरियाणा के खिलाडिय़ों ने ओलंपिक और पैरालंपिक में देश की झोली को पदकों से भरा है। ओलंपिक में सोनीपत के रवि दहिया व कुराड सुमित ने शानदार दर्शन किया और अब पैरालंपिक में सुमित आंतिल ने हरियाणा को सुनहरे सूरज का प्रकाश दिया।
राई हलका विधायक एवं भाजपा के प्रदेश महामंत्री मोहनलाल बड़ौली ने बताया कि 4 सितंबर को दोपहर बाद मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खेवड़ा (स्टेडियम) में आयोजित सम्मान समारोह में हिस्सा लेंगे। समारोह में उप-मुख्यमंत्री दुष्यंत चौटाला भी शामिल होंगे। सांसद व विधायकगण पदक विजेता खिलाड़ी का उत्साहवर्धन करेंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि 5 जनवरी, 2015 को सुमित का पांव खराब हो गया था किंतु उन्होंने हिम्मत नहीं हारी। खेलों में रूचि, प्रतिभा, कठिन परिश्रम दृढ़ निश्चय ने सुमित को विश् कीर्तिमान स्थापित करने की ताकत दी। मुख्यमंत्री के आगमन से गांव के विकास को नई सौगात मिलेगी। ग्रामीणों की मांगों को वे पूरा करेंगे और सुमित को भी घोषणा अनुसार ईनाम राशि व नौकरी और प्लाॅट दिया जाएगा।
भाजपा के जिलाध्यक्ष तीर्थ राणा तथा जजपा के जिलाध्यक्ष एवं पूर्व विधायक पदम सिंह दहिया, आजाद सिंह नेहरा, रविंद्र दिलावर ने भी सुमित आंतिल को बधाई दी है।
