मुरथल रोड स्थित डिफेंस कॉलोनी में प्लाॅट की रजिस्ट्री हो रही हैं, निगम में एनओसी देने के लिए विकास शुल्क भी लिया जा रहा है, कॉलोनी का खसरा नंबर तहसील की 7ए की सूची में नहीं है इस तरह कॉलोनी को अवैध बताकर गलियों को पक्का करने सीवरेज, पेयजल की सुविधा निगम द्वारा नहीं दी जा रही है। शहरवासियों ने इस समस्या का समाधान करने की मांग की है।

कॉलोनी वासियों कॉलोनी वासियों में जगवीर मलिक, होशियार सिंह, राम भगत, जितेंद्र मलिक, वेदपाल, रामपाल सिंह, दलेल सिंह, राममेहर, कृष्ण कुमार, मनीष कुमार, विजय, महेश कुमार जोगिंदर सिंह, नरेश कुमार, जितेंद्र दहिया, विनोद कुमार, विजयपाल, रामचंद्र जांगड़ा, राजपाल प्रजापत ने बताया कि यह कॉलोनी 30 वर्ष पहले बनी थी पहले तो तहसील में कॉलोनी के एक खसरा नंबर को छोड़कर बाकी नंबरों में प्लाट की रजिस्ट्री हो रही है। राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में कॉलोनी अप्रूव्ड दर्शाती है। मुख्यमंत्री के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार राजीव जैन से मिले लोगों ने यह समस्या बताई है। भाजपा सरकार के पिछले कार्यकाल में शुभम गार्डन के साथ लगती जीवन विहार एक्सटेंशन, विकास नगर समेत शहर की सभी कॉलोनियों को वैध करने का केस चंडीगढ़ भिजवाया था तब इस कॉलोनी के लिए टाउन एंड कंट्री प्लानिंग विभाग ने इस कॉलोनी के लिए यह कहकर एनओसी देने से इंकार कर दिया था कि इस कॉलोनी की जमीन हमारी सड़क की प्लानिंग में है।
कालोनी के साथ लगते 50 फुट रोड का निर्माण भी हो चुका था बाद में सीवर की बड़ी लाइन डालने के कारण उखाड़ दी गई और कुछ गलियों का निर्माण भी करवाया गया था। अब निगम ने काम रोक दिया। राजीव जैन ने कहा कि जल्द उच्च अधिकारियों के स्तर पर कॉलोनी के मामले को हल करवाकर विकास कार्य शुरू करवाये जायेगे।
