सोनीपत : अंतर विश्वविद्यालय बाक्सिंग में कुलबीर ढाका ने जीता कांस्य पदक
विश्वविद्यालय के खेल निदेशक डा.बिरेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने कहा कि 24 दिसंबर से 2 जनवरी तक ऑल इंडिया अंतर विश्वविद्यालय बाक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता एलपीयू, जालंधर में हुई जिसमें पहली बार बाक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता के लिए टीम भेजी गई और 71 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में कुलबीर ढाका को कांस्य पदक मिला। बतौर कोच राकेश को विश्वविद्यालय की ओर से भेजा गया था।

सोनीपत: दीनबंधु छोटू राम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल कुलपति प्रो. राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत ने आल इंडिया अंतर विश्वविद्यालय बाक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता में बॉक्सर कुलबीर ढाका को कांस्य पदक जीतने पर विश्वविद्यालय पहुंचने पर मंगलवार को स्वागत किया और बधाई दी है।
विश्वविद्यालय के खेल निदेशक डा.बिरेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने कहा कि 24 दिसंबर से 2 जनवरी तक ऑल इंडिया अंतर विश्वविद्यालय बाक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता एलपीयू, जालंधर में हुई जिसमें पहली बार बाक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता के लिए टीम भेजी गई और 71 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में कुलबीर ढाका को कांस्य पदक मिला। बतौर कोच राकेश को विश्वविद्यालय की ओर से भेजा गया था।
कुलपति प्रो.अनायत ने कहा कि पढाई के साथ साथ सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों व खेल को बढ़ावा देना लक्ष्यहै। विश्वविद्यालय ने खेल को बढावा देने के लिए यूजीसी से संबद्ध पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश में खेलों को लेकर सीट आरक्षित की हुई हैं ताकि खिलाड़ियों को प्रदेश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश मिल सकें तथा वे अपने खेल को आगे बढाकर विश्वविद्यालय व प्रदेश का नाम अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर रोशन कर सकें।
एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडियन यूनिवर्सिटी ने विश्वविद्यालय को पांच अंतर विश्वविद्यालय प्रतियोगिताएं कराई, जिसमें तीन प्रतिस्पर्धाएं ऑल इंडिया अंतर विश्वविद्यालय स्तर की हैं, जबकि दो प्रतिस्पर्धाएं जोनल स्तर की हैं। विश्वविद्यालय उत्तर क्षेत्रीय अंतर विश्वविद्यालय महिला लॉन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता का सफल आयोजन कर चुका है।
