सासंद रमेश कौशिक ने कहा है कि वीरचक्र विजेता सतप्रकाश वर्मा का शहीद स्मारक बीसवां मील चौक पर बनाएंगे। बतौर मुख्य अतिथि सांसद रमेश कौशिक राई में तिरंगा यात्रा के मौके पर बोल रहे थे उन्होंने कहा कि इससे हमारी सेनाओं को मनोबल बढ़ेगा, जिससे देश को मजबूती मिलेगी।

सांसद रमेश कौशिक ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी व मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल के निर्देशन में शहीद सम्मान तिरंगा यात्रा ने लोगों में देशभक्ति का नया रंग भरा है। शहीदों को मान- सम्मान दिया जा रहा है। लोकसभा क्षेत्र को विकास का नया रास्ता दिया गया है। उन्होंने ओलंपिक में सफल प्रदर्शन करने वाले खिलाडिय़ों को विशेष बधाई दी।
विधायक मोहन लाल बड़ौली ने कहा कि 1965 तथा 1973 और कारगिल युद्ध के शहीदों, स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को श्रद्धांजलि दी है। जठेड़ी के शहीद सतप्रकाश वर्मा को श्रद्धांजलि दी और घोषणा की कि 1965 की लड़ाई में शहीद हुए वीर चक्र विजेता शहीद सतप्रकाश वर्मा के नाम पर बीसवां मील चौक पर शहीद स्मारक स्थापित किया जाएगा। टोक्यो ओलंपिक के पदक विजेताओं व उनके परिजनों को भी बधाई देते हुए कहा कि खिलाडिय़ों ने देश का नाम रोशन कर दिया।

गन्नौर की विधायक निर्मल चौधरी ने शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए कहा कि हाथोंं में तिरंगा थामना ही गौरव की बात है। भाजपा के जिलाध्यक्ष तीर्थ राणा ने भी शहीदों को नमन करते हुए तिरंगा यात्रा में शामिल प्रमुख अतिथियों व आम जनमानस का आभार व्यक्त किया। राजेंद्र कौशिक, पुनीत त्यागी, आजाद नेहरा, निशांत छोक्कर, डा. ओमप्रकाश आत्रेय, क्षेत्र के सरपंच, शक्ति केंद्र प्रमुख और सभी बूथ प्रमुखों शामिल हुए।
