जिले के वरिष्ठ कांग्रेसी नेता सरदार परमजीत सिंह गुलाटी का आज लम्बी बीमारी के बाद आकस्मिक निधन हो गया। वे 64 वर्ष के थे और अपने पीछे पत्नी व बेटी सहित भरा-पूरा परिवार छोड़ गए है। स्व. गुलाटी पिछले एक महीने से एशियन अस्पताल में उपचाराधीन थे, लेकिन आज उन्होंने अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली। उनका अंतिम संस्कार सेक्टर-22 स्थित श्मशान घाट में किया गया, जहां उनकी पुत्री दलजीत कौर ने उन्हें मुखाग्रि दी।
