तपोला
महाराष्ट्र में मानसून में घूमने के लिए सबसे अच्छी जगहों में से एक है, तपोला। इसे वेस्ट कोस्ट का कश्मीर भी कहा जाता है। यह बेहद खूबसूरत जगह मुंबई से 300 किलोमीटर दूर और पुणे से 150 किलोमीटर दूर है। यह हरा-भरा और खूबसूरत क्षेत्र है जो सुंदर शिवसागर झील के आसपास फैला हुआ है। यह ट्रेकर्स के लिए बेमिसाल है।
भीमशंकर
मॉनसून में छुट्टियों के दौरान घूमने के लिए एक और सुंदर जगह है भीमशंकर है। वैसे तो यह धार्मिक स्थल के रूप में प्रसिद्ध है लेकिन इसमें एक वाइल्डलाइफ सैंक्चुरी, एक शानदार वॉटरफॉल भी है, जो बरसात के मौसम में आकर्षक हो जाता है। आप शिदी घाट से गणेश घाट अडवेंचर ट्रेकिंग का भी मजा ले सकते हैं।
अन्य जगहें
मॉनसून के दौरान मुंबई के आसपास के कुछ और बेहतरीन जगहों में मालशेज घाट शामिल है। यह सहयाद्री पर्वत श्रृंखला के बीच स्थित, एक शांत हिल स्टेशन है। आप सैर के लिए लोनावाला और खंडाला भी जा सकते हैं। ये अपनी प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के लिए काफी प्रसिद्ध हैं। मुलशी बांध भी मुंबई के पास ही है। यहां आप पेड़-पौधे और पक्षियों को देखने का आनंद ले सकते हैं। अगर आप वॉटर स्पोर्ट्स में रुचि रखते हैं, तो कोलाड आपके लिए सबसे अच्छी जगह है। हालांकि तेज बारिश में यहां पहुंचना थोड़ा मुश्किल है।
