इससे पहले दोपहर में, डोटासरा ने राजस्थान के प्रभारी अजय माकन से मुलाकात की, जिसके बाद उन्होंने कहा कि शपथ ग्रहण समारोह से पहले पार्टी मुख्यालय में एक विशेष समारोह में सभी नए मंत्रियों का स्वागत किया जाएगा। पूरे शनिवार को राजनीतिक गलियारों में इस बात को लेकर अफरातफरी मची रही कि नए गहलोत मंत्रालय में कौन शामिल होगा। यह सवाल सभी के होठों पर है कि क्या पायलट फेरबदल में शामिल होंगे, लेकिन दिन भर व्यस्त लॉबिंग जारी रही। यह पूछे जाने पर कि नए मंत्रालय में किसे शामिल किया जाएगा, गहलोत ने दोपहर में संवाददाताओं से कहा कि इसके लिए अजय माकन दिल्ली के संपर्क में हैं।
पिछले साल गहलोत को हटाने के प्रयास में, पायलट ने सीएम के खिलाफ विद्रोह कर दिया था, उनके प्रति वफादार विधायकों के एक समूह का नेतृत्व किया था और राज्य में नेतृत्व बदलने की मांग की थी। गहलोत विद्रोह को टालने में कामयाब रहे और काठी में ही बने रहे। दो प्रतिद्वंद्वी खेमे के अलावा, निर्दलीय और बसपा के पूर्व विधायक, जिन्होंने पायलट के विद्रोह के दौरान गहलोत सरकार को सुरक्षित रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई, एक और महत्वपूर्ण पहलू है जिस पर राज्य में कड़ी नजर रखी जा रही है।
