सूचना मिलने पर सोनीपत के पुलिस अधीक्षक राहुल शर्मा ने हालात का जायजा लिया और रात को ही मीडिया को बताया कि दीप सिद्धू की मौत सड़क हादसे में हुई इसकी पुष्टि की और बताया कि अमेरिकी महिला मित्र घायल हुई है लेकिन उनकी हालत में सुधार है।

सोनीपत/जीजेडी न्यूज: खरखौदा पीपली टोल के पास केएमपी पर सड़क दुर्घटना में मारे गए गायक व फिल्म कलाकार दीप सिद्दू के शव का सोनीपत सिविल अस्पताल में पोस्टमार्टम होने के बाद परिवार के सदस्य उसे पंजाब के लुधियाना ले गए। इस दौरान दीप सिद्धू के भाई ने मनदीप ने बताया कि प्रथम चरण में दुर्घटना की बात सामने आई है हालांकि पुलिस इस मामले में जांच भी कर रही है उन्होंने बताया कि दीप सिद्दू का अंतिम संस्कार दीप सिद्धू के गांव में किया जाएगा ।

‘रमता जोगी’, ‘देसी’ और ‘सादे आले’ जैसी फिल्मों में अपने किरदार के लिए पहचाने जाने वाले पंजाबी अभिनेता दीप सिद्धू की मंगलवार 15 फरवरी को एक कार दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई है. वह 37 साल के थे। अभिनेता, जो एक वकील और एक कार्यकर्ता भी थे, 2021 में गणतंत्र दिवस पर हुए लाल किला हिंसा मामले में अपनी संलिप्तता के लिए सुर्खियों में थे।

इधर दीप सिद्धू की स्कॉर्पियो में महिला मित्र रीना के साथ थे वह अमेरिका की रहने वाली है। गाड़ी को दीप सिद्धू चला रहे थे रीना ड्राइवर के बगल वाली सीट पर बैठी थी। रीना को सोनीपत के खरखौदा अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। पुलिस जांच में जूटी है। उनसे घटना को लेकर पूछताछ की है। हर पहलू पर पुलिस जांच कर रही है जांच टीम काम में लगी है। शव का पोस्टमार्टम बुधवार को सिविल अस्पताल में होगा दीप के परिवार को इसकी जानकारी दे दी गई है।
दीप सिद्धू का जन्म पंजाब के मुक्तसर जिले में अप्रैल 1984 को हुआ। करियर मॉडलिंग से शुरु किया। लॉ की पढ़ाई की, वह किंगफिशर मॉडल हंट के विजेता बने। मिस्टर इंडिया कॉन्टेस्ट में मिस्टर पर्सनैलिटी के खिताब जीते। साल 2015 में उसकी पहली पंजाबी फिल्म रमता जोगी जबकि 2018 में फिल्म जोरा दास नंबरिया से उनको प्रसिद्धि मिली इसमें गैंगस्टर का उनका दमदार किरदार रहा था।
अभिनेता के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त करते हुए, पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री, चरणजीत एस चन्नी ने दुखद समाचार पर दुख व्यक्त करने के लिए अपने ट्विटर हैंडल का सहारा लिया। उन्होंने ट्वीट किया, “प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता दीप सिद्धू के दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण निधन के बारे में जानकर गहरा दुख हुआ। मेरी संवेदनाएं और प्रार्थनाएं शोक संतप्त परिवार और प्रशंसकों के साथ हैं।

सिद्धू ने 2019 में राजनीति में कदम रखा और गुरदासपुर के भाजपा सांसद और बॉलीवुड अभिनेता सनी देओल के लिए प्रचार किया। किसानों के विरोध के दौरान, किसान संघ ने 2021 किसान गणतंत्र दिवस परेड के दौरान सिद्धू पर दंगा भड़काने और लाल किले पर धार्मिक झंडा फहराने का आरोप लगाया। लगाए गए आरोपों के बदले, सिद्धू को गैंगस्टर से कार्यकर्ता बने लक्खा सिधाना के साथ 9 फरवरी, 2021 को गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
