नई दिल्ली: पंजाब सरकार ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के कल फिरोजपुर दौरे के दौरान सुरक्षा में चूक की जांच के लिए एक उच्च स्तरीय समिति का गठन किया है। सूत्रों के मुताबिक कमेटी तीन दिन में राज्य सरकार को रिपोर्ट सौंपेगी। एक आधिकारिक प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि समिति में न्यायमूर्ति (सेवानिवृत्त) मेहताब सिंह गिल, प्रमुख सचिव, गृह मंत्रालय और न्यायमूर्ति अनुराग वर्मा शामिल होंगे।

सीएम ने मोदी की यात्रा के मिनट-दर-मिनट के कार्यक्रम को साझा करते हुए कहा कि फिरोजपुर में तीन हेलीपैड बनाए गए थे क्योंकि उन्हें बठिंडा से हवाई मार्ग से पहुंचना था। उन्होंने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि बठिंडा से फिरोजपुर तक प्रधानमंत्री की यात्रा योजना में अचानक बदलाव आया और सब कुछ केंद्रीय एजेंसियों द्वारा नियंत्रित किया गया।
पंजाब पुलिस की सीमित भूमिका पर जोर देते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, “यह कहना गलत है कि सुरक्षा में चूक हुई थी। चन्नी ने संवाददाताओं से कहा, “प्रधानमंत्री को (विकास परियोजनाओं के) उद्घाटन के लिए दौरा करना था और एक राजनीतिक रैली को संबोधित करना था। हमें खेद है कि रास्ते में नाकेबंदी के कारण उन्हें वापस लौटना पड़ा।
