नई दिल्ली: सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की 5 जनवरी की पंजाब यात्रा के दौरान सुरक्षा उल्लंघन की जांच के लिए शीर्ष अदालत के पूर्व न्यायाधीश इंदु मल्होत्रा की अध्यक्षता में पांच सदस्यीय पैनल नियुक्त किया।
मुख्य न्यायाधीश एनवी रमना की अध्यक्षता वाली शीर्ष अदालत की पीठ ने राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (एनआईए) के महानिरीक्षक, चंडीगढ़ के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) प्रवीर रंजन, पंजाब और हरियाणा उच्च न्यायालय के रजिस्ट्रार-जनरल और अतिरिक्त डीजीपी (सुरक्षा) को भी नियुक्त किया। ) पंजाब के पैनल के सदस्य के रूप में, पीटीआई ने बताया।

शीर्ष अदालत ने पहले पंजाब सरकार को यह सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया था कि प्रधान मंत्री के आंदोलनों से संबंधित सभी रिकॉर्ड और सामग्री को तुरंत पंजाब और हरियाणा उच्च न्यायालय के रजिस्ट्रार-जनरल की हिरासत में सुरक्षित किया जाए।
प्रधान मंत्री की पंजाब यात्रा 5 जनवरी को “बड़ी सुरक्षा चूक” के बाद कम कर दी गई थी क्योंकि वह प्रदर्शनकारियों द्वारा नाकेबंदी के कारण 20 मिनट तक फ्लाईओवर पर फंसे हुए थे, जिसके बाद केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने राज्य से तत्काल रिपोर्ट मांगी थी। राज्य सरकार को भी इस चूक की जिम्मेदारी तय करने और सख्त कार्रवाई करने को कहा गया है।
