वह पंजाब के नए महाधिवक्ता के रूप में एपीएस देओल की नियुक्ति पर भी सवाल उठाते हुए दिखाई दिए। देओल पंजाब के पूर्व डीजीपी सुमेध सिंह सैनी के वकील थे और बेअदबी के मामलों का विरोध कर रहे सिखों पर पुलिस फायरिंग से संबंधित मामलों में उनका प्रतिनिधित्व करते थे।
