दीनबंधु छोटू राम विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, मुरथल के शोधार्थियों के लिए आईआईटी के समक्ष प्रयोगशाला की सुविधा विश्वविद्यालय में उपलब्ध होगी। भौतिकी विभाग की नई प्रयोगशाला 1.10 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से बनकर तैयार हो गई है।
डीसीआरयूएसटी के भौतिकी विभाग के शोधार्थियों के अनुसंधान में गुणवत्ता आएगी। पहले शोधार्थियों को करेक्टराइजेशन के लिए आईआईटी, दिल्ली, आईआईटी, मद्रास व सीएसआई प्रयोगशालाओं में जाना पड़ता था। अब आईआईटी के समक्ष प्रयोगशाला भौतिकी के विभाग में बनकर तैयार हो गई है। प्रयोगशाला में शोधार्थी फ्लोरासेंस स्पेक्ट्रोमीटर, एमईपीई लुप ट्रेसर, सप्टरिंग यूनिट, यूवी वीज एनआईआर स्पेक्ट्रोफोटोमीटर आदि उपकरण भौतिकी की नई लगाए गए हैं। नई प्रयोगशाला में नए उपकरण आने के कारण अनुसंधान के अधिकतम उपकरण विश्वविद्यालय की प्रयोगशाला में उपगब्ध हो गए हैं।
केंद्र सरकार के विज्ञान एवं तकनीकी विभाग ने एफआईएसटी(फंड फॉर इंप्रवमेंट ऑफ साइंस एण्ड टैक्नोलॉजी इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर) के लिए गत वर्ष में आवेदन मांगें थे। आवेदन करने के पश्चात विभाग ने आए आवेदनों की समीक्षा के पश्चात कुछ को प्रस्तुती देने के लिए बुलाया। केंद्र सरकार के विज्ञान एवं तकनीकी विभाग ने 1.46 करोड़ रूपए की राशि विश्वविद्यालय के भौतिकी विभाग के फिजिक्ल साइंस के शोध व विकास को बढावा देने के लिए प्रदान की थी। भौतिकी विभाग के शोधार्थियों और प्रोफेसरों ने राष्ट्रीय व अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के प्रतिष्ठित जर्नल में 150 शोधपत्र एससीआई इंडक्स(साइंस साइटेशन इंडक्स) में प्रकाशित किए हैं। भौतिकी विभाग द्वारा प्रकाशित किए गए शोध पत्रों का लगभग 2000 शोधार्थियों ने प्रयोग किया है। जबकि इनमें से 21 ऐसे शोध पत्र हैं जिसका 21 (एचआई इंडक्स 21) से अधिक दूसरे शोधार्थियों ने प्रयोग किया है।
प्रयोगशाला है अनुसंधान की रीड की हड्डी : कुलपति प्रो.अनायत
कुलपति प्रो.राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत ने प्रयोगशाला के उदघाटन अवसर पर कहा कि किसी भी विश्वविद्यालय की प्रतिष्ठा का पता वहां पर हो रहे अनुसंधान कार्यों से चलता है। अनुसंधान के लिए प्रयोगशाला रीड की हड्डी के समान होती है। उन्होंने कहा कि अनुसंधान में अग्रणी रहने वाले देश ही वर्तमान समय में विकसित देशों की श्रेणी में शामिल हैं। अत: हमें अपने राष्ट्र को आगे बढाने के लिए अनुसंधान पर अधिक कार्य करने की आवश्यक्ता है।
