जीवीएम में काॅलेज में बतौर मुख्यातिथि कुलपति प्रो. राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत ने कहा कि प्रकृति व संस्कृति भारत की सर्वश्रेष्ठ है भारतीय संस्कृति में सर्वहित समाहित है। हम पहले समस्त ब्रह्मांड की शांति की कामना करते हैं। उसके बाद हम अपने लिए शांति की प्रार्थना करते हैं। यह हमारी संस्कृति का मानवीय व सुंदर रूप यही है।
प्रो. अनायत ने पेड़-पौधों के महत्व पर कहा कि पौधों के बिना मानवीय जीवन की कल्पना निरर्थक है। इसलिए हमें प्राकृतिक संतुलन स्थापित करना होगा, ताकि आने वाली पीढ़ी को सुखद एवं सुरक्षित भविष्य मिल सके। यूथ होस्टल एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया की सोनीपत शाखा के प्रधान डा. पूर्णमल गौड़ ने कहा कि एसोसिएशन के नेशनल चेयरपर्सन एस.वैंकट नारायणन की प्रेरणा से यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि एसोसिएशन का पूरा फोकस युवा, पर्यावरण और शिक्षा पर रहता है। इनके कल्याण से ही समाज व राष्ट्र का कल्याण होगा।
मुख्यातिथि प्रो. राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत व उनकी धर्मपत्नी रजनी अनायत सहित, डा. पी.एम. गौड़, रवि गांधी, मदनलाल कुमार, राजेश रेलन, प्राचार्या डा. ज्योति जुनेजा, डा. आरके सोनी, डा. प्रज्ञा अग्रवाल, प्राध्यापिका भूमिका शर्मा, रूचिका विरमानी, प्रो. जेएस सैनी, डा. सुरेश वर्मा व प्रवीण शर्मा आदि ने कालेज परिसर में 42 पौधों का रोपण किया। प्रमुख रूप से 21 फलदार पौधे लगाए गए तथा शेष रोजमेरी के पौधे लगाए गए। प्राचार्या डा. ज्योति जुनेजा ने सभी अतिथियों का स्वागत किया।
