अमरिंदर ने कहा कि उन्होंने गृह मंत्री शाह से मुलाकात की और किसानों से जुड़े मुद्दों पर चर्चा की। अमरिंदर सिंह का फैसला नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू के साथ एक महीने के लंबे झगड़े के बाद आया है जिसके बाद उन्होंने पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। पद से इस्तीफा देने के बाद, अमरिंदर सिंह सिद्धू के साथ तनातनी के बारे में मुखर रहे हैं और यहां तक कहा था कि वह क्रिकेटर से राजनेता बने पंजाब के सीएम चेहरा बनने से रोकने के लिए दांत और नाखून से लड़ेंगे।
