नई दिल्ली: बेंगलुरु के कमांड अस्पताल में इलाज करा रहे तमिलनाडु हेलिकॉप्टर क्रैश के एकमात्र जीवित बचे ग्रुप कैप्टन वरुण सिंह का अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। IAF ने ट्वीट के जरिए ग्रुप कैप्टन वरुण सिंह के निधन की जानकारी दी।

पिछले हफ्ते बुधवार को, कुन्नूर के पास IAF Mi-17V5 हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटना में चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल बिपिन रावत, उनकी पत्नी मधुलिका और 11 अन्य अधिकारियों की मौत हो गई थी। ग्रुप कैप्टन वरुण सिंह के निधन के साथ, दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण हेलीकॉप्टर के सभी 14 यात्रियों का अब निधन हो गया है। ग्रुप कैप्टन वरुण सिंह को पिछले बुधवार को मलबे से बाहर निकाला गया और बाद में उन्हें बेंगलुरु में एक सुविधा में ले जाया गया।
इस बीच, भारतीय वायुसेना ने दुर्घटना की जांच के लिए एक त्रिकोणीय सेवा कोर्ट ऑफ इंक्वायरी का गठन किया है, जिसमें सीडीएस रावत और अब 13 अन्य मारे गए थे। कोर्ट ऑफ इंक्वायरी की अध्यक्षता एयर मार्शल मानवेंद्र सिंह कर रहे हैं और इसे एक महीने में अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंपनी है।
