वो वक्त और था यह वक्त और है। हम बड़े बड़े पेड़ पौधों के नीचे बैठकर खुली हवा में पढ़ते थे। आज बंद कमरों में लगे एसी और बैंच पर बैठते हैं।

मास्टर जी जब बेंत लेकर आते थे और अपने प्यारे शिष्यों को मुर्गा बनाते थे, जोर से बेंत लगाते थे।

लेकिन आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने आदेश दे दिया। विद्यार्थियों की पिटाई नहीं होगी, केवल पढ़ाई होगी।पहले पढ़ाने वाले गुरु थे पढ़ने वाले शिष्य थे। विद्यार्थी विद्या ग्रहण करते थे।
आज पढ़ाने वाले टीचर हैं पढ़ने वाले स्टूडेंट हैं गुरु चेले का रिश्ता खत्म हो गया।
आज पढ़ने वाले शहंशाह हो गए पढ़ाने वाले नौकर रह गए।
आज विद्यार्थी विद्या नहीं शिक्षा ग्रहण करते हैं। जिसमें किताबी ज्ञान तो मिलता है लेकिन संस्कार गौण हो जाते हैं।
यह पढ़ाई अधिकारी बनाती है, इंजीनियर, डॉक्टर बनाती है। नेता, अभिनेता बनाती है लेकिन विद्या इंसान को इंसान नहीं बनाती है।
काश! हम विद्यार्थी विद्या ग्रहण करने लगते, और हम इंसान बस इंसान बन जाते। सोचता हूं कि काश! मेरा वो बचपन लौट आए, लौट आए, लौट आए, मेरा वो बचपन लौट आए।
