पांचवी वरीयता प्राप्त सिटसिपास ने दूसरे वरीय डेनिल मेदवेदेव को 6-3, 7-6 (3), 7-5 से हराकर चौथी बार किसी ग्रैंडस्लैम के सेमीफाइनल में प्रवेश किया। उन्हें केवल दूसरे सेट में संघर्ष करना पड़ा जब 5-4 के स्कोर पर मेदवेदेव दो सेट प्वाइंट का फायदा नहीं उठा पाये थे।

पुरुष वर्ग के दो अन्य क्वार्टर फाइनल जोकोविच और मैटियो बेरेटिनी तथा 13 बार के चैंपियन नडाल और डिएगो श्वार्जमैन के बीच खेले जाएंगे।महिला वर्ग में रूस की 31वीं वरीय एनस्तेसिया पावलिचेनकोवा और स्लोवानिया की 85वी रैंकिंग की तमारा जिदानसेक ने पहली बार ग्रैंडस्लैम सेमीफाइनल में जगह बनायी।पावलिचेनकोवा इससे पहले छह बार ग्रैंडस्लैम क्वार्टर फाइनल में हारी थी लेकिन मंगलवार को वह युगल में अपनी जोड़ीदार इलेना रिबाकिना को एक संघर्षपूर्ण मुकाबले में 6-7 (2), 6-2, 9-7 से हराने में सफल रही। जिदानसेक ने 33वीं रैंकिंग की पाउल बाडोसा को 7-5, 4-6, 8-6 से हराया।
