नगर निगम चुनाव: नगर निगम चुनावों में घर-घर जाकर प्रचार के लिए पांच व्यक्तियों की अनुमति: उपायुक्त

उपायुक्त श्याम लाल पूनिया ने कहा कि नगर निगम चुनावों के अंतर्गत 11 से 16 दिसंबर तक प्रात:11 बजे से दोपहर बाद 03बजे तक नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किये जायेंगे। अवकाश दिवस के मौके पर 13 दिसंबर को नामांकन नहीं लिए जाएंगे। नामांकन पत्रों की जांच का कार्य 17 दिसंबर को किया जाएगा। तदोपरांत 18 दिसंबर को नामांकन वापसी के साथ चुनाव चिन्ह आवंटित किये जायेंगे।
उपायुक्त पूनिया मंगलवार को लघु सचिवालय में निकाय चुनावों के दृष्टिगत पत्रकारवार्ता में जानकारी दे रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि निगम चुनाव लडऩे वाले राजनीतिक दल/ चुनाव लडऩे वाले प्रत्याशियों द्वारा घर-घर जाकर प्रचार के लिए पांच व्यक्तियों को ही अनुमति दी जाएगी। रोड-शो में एक बार में केवल पांच गाडिय़ों का काफिल निकल सकेगा। पहले काफिले व दूसरे काफिले के मध्य तीस मिनट का अंतर रहेगा। उन्होंने राजनीतिक दलों/प्रत्याशियों का आह्वान किया कि वे प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए इलैक्ट्रोनिक मीडिया व सोशल मीडिया को अपनायें। 25 दिसंबर की सांयकाल 05:30 बजे प्रचार बंद हो जाएगा। 27 दिसंबर को मतदान व 30 दिसंबर को मतगणना होगी। वहीं मेयर पद के उम्मीदवार के लिए खर्च की सीमा 22 लाख रुपये तथा वार्ड पार्षदों के लिए 5 लाख 50 हजार रुपये की राशि निर्धारित की गई है। चुनाव के दौरान कोविड-19 को लेकर जारी दिशा-निर्देशों की अनुपालना करनी होगी। मेयर पद के लिए सामान्य वर्ग के प्रत्याशी को दस हजार तथा आरक्षित वर्ग के उम्मीदवार को पांच हजार रुपये की सुरक्षा राशि जमा करवानी होगी। वार्ड पार्षद के लिए सामान्य वर्ग के उम्मीदवार को तीन हजार रुपये व आरक्षित वर्ग के प्रत्याशी को 1500 रुपये की सुरक्षा राशि जमा करवानी होगी। सामान्य वर्ग के पुरुष के लिए 10वीं व महिला प्रत्याशी के लिए 8वीं तथा आरक्षित वर्ग के पुरुष के लिए 8वीं और आरक्षित वर्ग की महिला प्रत्याशी के लिए 5वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण होना अनिवार्य होगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि वार्ड नंबर-2 व 17 को एससी वर्ग तथा वार्ड-16 को एससी वर्ग की महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित किया गया है। इसके साथ ही वार्ड-1 को आरक्षित वर्ग बी.सी. के लिए तथा वार्ड-6 को आरक्षित वर्ग बी.सी. की महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित किया गया है। साथ ही वार्ड नंबर-4, 10, 11 व 13 तथा 20 को महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित किया गया है। पुलिस अधीक्षक जशनदीप सिंह रंधावा ने कहा कि लाईसेंसी हथियारधारकों को 18 दिसंबर तक अपने हथियार संबंधित पुलिस थानों व गन-हाऊस में जमा करवाने होंगे। शहर में दस पुलिस नाका लगा दिए गए हैं। इंटर स्टेट नाका पहले से जारी हैं। शांतिपूर्ण चुनाव के लिए पुलिस द्वारा 15 दिन का विशेष अभियान चलाया गया है। इलैक्शन तहसीलदार सरला कौशिक उपस्थित रहे।
