दैनिक यात्रियों में से एक के अनुसार, “हरियाणा और पंजाब तक पहुँचने के लिए एक चक्कर लगाना पड़ता था। अगर कोई मुरथल जाना चाहता था, तो उसे परिधीय राजमार्गों का सहारा लेना पड़ता था। इस खंड पर यातायात के खुलने से अब समय और धन की बचत होगी। सिंघू सीमा के अलावा, मुख्य रूप से पंजाब, हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश के किसानों ने पिछले साल 26 नवंबर को दिल्ली की टिकरी और गाजीपुर सीमाओं की घेराबंदी की थी।
पुलिस ने कहा कि टिकरी सीमा पर यात्रियों के लिए सड़कों को पहले ही साफ कर दिया गया है और यातायात जारी है। हालांकि, गाजीपुर सीमा पर यातायात अभी शुरू नहीं हुआ है क्योंकि किसानों का अंतिम जत्था बुधवार सुबह साइट से निकल गया। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) के अधिकारी बुनियादी ढांचे को किसी भी तरह के नुकसान का आकलन करने के लिए सड़क का निरीक्षण करेंगे। हालांकि, एक्सप्रेसवे पर कैरिजवे यातायात के लिए कब खुलेगा, इस पर कोई शब्द नहीं है।
