उपायुक्त शरणदीप कौर बराड़ ने जिला खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति विभाग द्वरा जारी रिपोर्ट के आधार पर कहा कि खरीद केन्द्रों पर 23 अप्रैल 2021 तक खरीद एजेंसियां द्वारा 5 लाख 46 हजार 746 मीट्रिक टन गेंहू की खरीद की गई है, जिसमें से खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति विभाग द्वारा 3 लाख 8 हजार 470 एमटी, हैफेड द्वारा 2 लाख 20 हजार, 881 एमटी, एफसीआई द्वारा 5310 एमटी, हरियाणा वेयर हाउस द्वारा 12038 एमटी व ट्रेडर्स ने 47 एमटी गेंहू की खरीद की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि एजेंसियों द्वारा गेंहू उठान/भंंडारण कार्य को भी लगातार किया जा रहा है।

अब तक खरीद की गई 5 लाख 46 हजार 746 मीट्रिक टन गेंहू में से जिला खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति विभाग ने 2 लाख 11 हजार 917 एमटी, हैफेड ने 1 लाख 47 हजार 611 एमटी, एफसीआई ने 5100 एमटी व हरियाणा वेयर हाउस ने 11200 गेंहू उठान/भंंडारण कार्य सहित कुल 3 लाख 75 हजार 828 एमटी गेंहू लिफ्टिंग का कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है। इस प्रकार तक खरीदी गई गेहूं में से 69 फीसदी उठान कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है।
