भारत रत्न प्रणब दा के निधन पर केंद्र सरकार ने 7 दिन के राजकीय शोक (State Mourning) की घोषणा की है। कई दिनों से अस्पताल में भर्ती प्रणब मुखर्जी का सोमवार को 84 वर्ष की उम्र में निधन हो गया. 10 अगस्त से वे दिल्ली के आर्मी रिसर्च एंड रेफरल (आर एंड आर) हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती थे। इसी दिन उनको ब्रेन से क्लॉटिंग हटाने के लिए इमरजेंसी में सर्जरी करनी पड़ी थी। इसके बाद से उनकी हालत लगातार गंभीर बनी हुई थी। उन्हें वेंटिलेटर पर रखा गया था। प्रणब ने 10 तारीख को ही खुद के कोरोना पॉजिटिव होने की बात भी कही थी।
