मानव प्रभु परमात्मा की उत्तम रचना है। मानव ने ही इस उत्कृष्टता को कायम रखना है। पशुओं के बच्चे जन्म लेने के कुछ समय बाद ही चलना शुरू कर देते हैं।

इंसान और पशु में अंतर
इंसान के बच्चों कि कहानी अलग है। इसे मां की गोद की जरूरत लंबे समय तक रहती है। यह बोलना भी काफी समय बाद शुरू करता है लेकिन एक बार बोलना शुरू हुआ तो ये चुप रहना भी नहीं जानता। अन्तिम स्वासों तक कुछ न कुछ अच्छा – बुरा बोले जाता है।
बोले गए शब्द कभी वापस नहीं आते
गुणी जन समझाते हैं ,भाई सोच समझ कर बोला कर क्योंकि बोले गए शब्द कभी वापस नहीं आते। सोच समझ कर तोल कर बोलोगे तो सुखी रहोगे और एक बात कि कोयल की तरह मीठा बोला कर कौए की तरह कर्कश नहीं ।सुना भी ध्यान से कर , सुनकर चिंतन मनन किया कर खास कर सदगुरु के दिव्य वचनों को तो बहुत ज्यादा गौर से सुनना और मनन किया कर।

हिज मास्टर्स वॉइस (HMV) मशहूर रिकॉर्डिंग कंपनी हुआ करती थी जिसका लोगो था ग्रामोफोन की आवाज सुनता हुआ एक कुत्ता। दरअसल वह कुत्ता उस्ताद अब्दुल करीम साहब का वहीं कुत्ता था जो ग्रामोफोन पर उस्ताद जी की गायकी बहुत ध्यानमग्न होकर सुनता था। अपने सुनने के गुण के कारण वह कुत्ता एच एम वी के लोगों के रूप में रखा गया।
इंसान कुत्ते से श्रेष्ठ लेकिन-
गुरु की वाणी सुनने के लिए भी ऐसी ही एकाग्रता और समर्पण हमारे अंदर भी होना चाहिए। सोचने की बात है कि इंसान कुत्ते से हर हाल में श्रेष्ठ है फिर बाजी कुत्ते मार ले जाते हैं।
तभी जीवन मुक्ति की ओर
जो गुरु के वचन ध्यान से सुनता है, वही उस पर चिंतन मनन भी कर पाता है।जिसने सुना ही नहीं वह चिंतन भी नहीं कर पाता, भक्तिपथ पर आगे अग्रसर होना तो दूर की बात हैं। इंसान को दुर्लभ मानव तन मिला है तो उसे सुनने की क्षमता और इल्म भी पैदा करना चाहिए तभी जीवन मुक्ति की ओर बढ़ पाना संभव होगा। गुरु से ज्ञानामृत पीकर ही जीवन मुक्त हुआ जाता है, अन्य कोई उपाय नहीं है।
