पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने सोमवार को कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने राजनेताओं, अधिकारियों और पत्रकारों की इस्राइली स्पाईवेयर पेगासस का इस्तेमाल कर जासूसी करने की जांच के लिए दो सदस्यीय जांच आयोग का गठन किया है।
कोलकाता: पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने सोमवार को कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने राजनेताओं, अधिकारियों और पत्रकारों की इस्राइली स्पाईवेयर पेगासस का इस्तेमाल कर जासूसी करने की जांच के लिए दो सदस्यीय जांच आयोग का गठन किया है। दिन के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री की अध्यक्षता में हुई विशेष कैबिनेट बैठक में सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीशों के सदस्यों के साथ एक पैनल बनाने का निर्णय लिया गया।

“हमने सोचा था कि केंद्र एक जांच आयोग बनाएगा या इस फोन-हैकिंग की घटना को देखने के लिए अदालत की निगरानी में जांच का आदेश दिया जाएगा। लेकिन केंद्र बेकार बैठा है … इसलिए हमने देखने के लिए ‘जांच पर आयोग’ बनाने का फैसला किया। इस मामले में,” उसने यहां एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा।
दो सदस्यीय आयोग की अध्यक्षता कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश ज्योतिर्मय भट्टाचार्य करेंगे। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पूर्व न्यायाधीश मदन भीमराव लोकुर इसके अन्य सदस्य हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, “पश्चिम बंगाल के लोगों के नाम पेगासस लक्ष्य सूची में शामिल हैं। केंद्र सभी की जासूसी करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। आयोग इस अवैध हैकिंग के बारे में विवरण का पता लगाएगा।”
मीडिया रिपोर्टों में दावा किया गया कि पेगासस स्पाइवेयर का इस्तेमाल फोन में घुसपैठ करने और राजनीतिक नेताओं, सरकारी अधिकारियों और पत्रकारों पर निगरानी रखने के लिए किया गया था, जिसके बाद देश और दुनिया के अन्य हिस्सों में एक बड़े पैमाने पर राजनीतिक विवाद छिड़ गया।
