मनुष्य में मानवीयता हो तभी वह मानव है। मानव का शरीर और कर्म दानव के हो तो निश्चित ही यह एक दुखद स्थिति है।
मनुष्य जन्म सर्वोत्तम है। यह पशु पक्षियों से श्रेष्ठ है लेकिन यदि मनुष्य वाले कर्म न हों तो यह पशुओं से भी निकृष्ट है। पशु पक्षी अपनी मर्यादा का पालन हर स्थिति में करते हैं। मनुष्य मानव वाले कर्म करने में कोताही बरतता है। इसीलिए बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी ने इंसान को बार बार सचेत किया और इंसान को मनुर्भव की प्रेरणा दी।
मनुष्य में मानवीयता हो तभी वह मानव है। मानव का शरीर और कर्म दानव के हो तो निश्चित ही यह एक दुखद स्थिति है। इसका उपाय सुझाते हुए बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी फरमाते हैं –
नफ़रत से न संवरने वाला मन संवरेगा प्यार से।
कहे हरदेव हरि सुमिरण से सतगुरु के एतबार से।
निरंकारी संत समागम सम्पूर्ण विश्व के लिए कल्याणकारी
आज हर मानव परेशान नज़र आता है । कोई कम तो कोई ज्यादा परेशान है । इसका मूल कारण सतगुरु पर विश्वास की कमी और हरी सुमिरन का अभाव है। इसके अतिरिक्त मानव के मन में लोभ लालच का बहुत ज्यादा बढ़ जाना भी परेशानी का कारण है।

पक्षी सुबह भोजन की तलाश में निकल जाता है और कुछ समय में ही तृप्त होकर वापस आ जाता है। उसे जितना चाहिए था वह मिल गया और ज्यादा की उसे चाह नहीं। यह और ज्यादा चाहिए वाली बात इंसान के साथ ज्यादा जुड़ी है। इंसान को पूरे जीवन भर की आवश्यकता का सामान आज ही चाहिए। यह कल के लिए संचित कर लेने वाली वृत्ति उसके आज के आनन्द को नष्ट कर देती है। भक्त कामनाओं के जाल में नहीं फंसते वो आज जो उपलब्ध है उसका आनंद लेते हैं।
पच्चीस वर्ष पहले की बात जब याद आई
बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी अभाव में जी रहे भक्तों के पहुंच कर उन्हें अपार खुशी देते थे। लगभग पच्चीस वर्ष पहले की बात है बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी कल्याण यात्रा के क्रम में ग्वालियर, मध्य प्रदेश पहुंचे।साध संगत में अपूर्व खुशी का माहौल था। रात्रि को जयेंद्र गंज भवन में विश्राम की व्यस्था थी। उन दिनों बाबा जी समागम के उपरांत कुछ महापुरुषों के घरों में चरण डालने की स्वीकृति प्रदान करके उन्हें अनुपम खुशी देते थे।
एक महात्मा के मन में भाव आया कि काश बाबा जी उसके घर आते तो कितना अच्छा होता । फिर उन्हें ध्यान आया कि हम गरीबों के यहां आना कहां संभव होगा ।यह सोच कर वह महात्मा सेवा में लग गया।
रात 10 बजे बाबा जी ने स्थानीय प्रबंधकों को कहा उन महत्मा को कहो सुबह आगे जाना है , अभी उनके घर चलना है। जब उस महात्मा को यह सूचना मिली तो वह हतप्रभ रह गया । इतनी बड़ी मुराद इतनी सहजता से और इतनी जल्दी पूरी हो जाएगी उसे विश्वास ही नहीं हो रहा था।
बाबा जी उस महात्मा के घर पहुंचे और काफी समय तक परिवार के सदस्यों को प्यार भरा आशीर्वाद देते रहे। उनकी यही अपनत्व भरी बातें लोगों को उनके अत्यन्त करीब ले आती थीं और उन्हें हमेशा के लिए अपना बना लेती थीं। दिव्य प्रेम से भरे हुए थे बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी महाराज , जन जन के हृदय सम्राट बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी महाराज।
