एसएस न्यूज.मुंबई।‘ऑस्कर नॉमिनी’ और ‘प्राइम टाइम एमी अवार्ड’ के विनर रिज अहमद फिल्मों में मुसलमानों को गलत तरह से दिखाए जाने को लेकर काफी नाराज है। ऐक्टर ने वीडियो शेयर करते हुए लिखा,’अब इसे बदलना होगा।’ ऐक्टर ने हाल ही में एक फंड लॉन्च किया है। यह फंड उन्होंने ‘यूएससी एनेनबर्ग इंक्लूजन इनिशिएटिव’ के साथ साझेदारी करके खोला है। इसका नाम है ‘फोर्ड फाउंडेशन।’ इस फाउंडेशन के अंतर्गत मिसिंग एंड मालिगन मुस्लिमों की सहायता का कार्य किया जाएगा। रिज अहमद ने कहा, ‘यूएससी एनेनबर्ग के रिसर्च के मुताबिक मुस्लमानों का मीडिया में प्रतिनिधित्व काफी कम है।’
2017-2019 की टॉप-ग्रॉसिंग फिल्मों में 10 फीसदी से कम में भी स्क्रीन पर मुस्लिम कैरेक्टर थे, जिनमें से 2 फीसदी से कम कैरेक्टर बोलने की भूमिका में थी। 38 साल के अंग्रेजी-पाकिस्तानी ऐक्टर ने ट्विटर पर एक वीडियो शेयर किया है। जिसमें उन्होंने बताया कि अक्सर मैंने फिल्मों में मुसलमान का नेगेटिव कैरेक्टर और अस्तित्वहीन ही देखा है। हमारी इंडस्ट्री में कुछ बदलाव की जरूरत है।

रिज अहमद पाकिस्तानी मूल के ब्रिटिश ऐक्टर हैं। यह पहले ऐसे मुस्लिम ऐक्टर हैं जिन्हें ऑस्कर मिल चुका है मगर लीड ऐक्टर की कैटिगरी में यह इतिहास का पहला नॉमिनेशन है। रिज अहमद इससे पहले साल 2017 में बेस्ट ऐक्टर इन लीडिंग रोल के लिए ऐमी अवॉर्ड जीतने वाले पहले मुस्लिम और पहले एशियाई मूल के व्यक्ति भी रह चुके हैं। रिज अहमद पाकिस्तानी मूल के ब्रिटिश ऐक्टर हैं और उन्होंने ‘रोग वन’, ‘वेनोम’, ‘द सिस्टर्स ब्रदर्स’, ‘नाइटक्रॉलर’, ‘फोर लॉयंस’ और ‘मुगल मोगली’ जैसी मशहूर फिल्मों में काम किया है।
