भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण:साइ ने ग्रीको रोमन के विदेशी कोच टेमो कजाराशविली को बर्खास्त किया
भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (साइ) ने शुक्रवार को घोषणा की कि उसने जार्जिया के कुश्ती कोच टेमो कजाराशविली को प्रदर्शन नहीं दिखाने के लिये कार्य मुक्त कर दिया है क्योंकि कोई भी ग्रीको रोमन पहलवान तोक्यो ओलंपिक के लिये क्वालीफाई नहीं कर सका।
एसएस न्यूज.नई दिल्ली। भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (साइ) ने शुक्रवार को घोषणा की कि उसने जार्जिया के कुश्ती कोच टेमो कजाराशविली को प्रदर्शन नहीं दिखाने के लिये कार्य मुक्त कर दिया है क्योंकि कोई भी ग्रीको रोमन पहलवान तोक्यो ओलंपिक के लिये क्वालीफाई नहीं कर सका।
भारत ने सोनीपत में राष्ट्रीय शिविर में देश के ग्रीको रोमन पहलवानों को ट्रेनिंग देने के लिये फरवरी 2019 में टेमो को ओलंपिक तक नियुक्त किया था। चार पुरूष फ्री स्टाइल पहलवानों और इतनी ही महिला पहलवानों ने ओलंपिक के लिये क्वालीफाई कर लिया है लेकिन देश को ग्रीको रोमन वर्ग में एक भी कोटा नहीं मिला।
भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (साइ) ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘‘किसी भी भारतीय ग्रीको रोमन पहलवान ने ओलंपिक खेलों के लिये क्वालीफाई नहीं किया है जिससे साइ ने विदेशी कोच टेमो कजाराशविली को उनके अनुबंध से कार्य मुक्त कर दिया है।’’ इसके अनुसार, ‘‘यह फैसला भारतीय कुश्ती महासंघ की सिफारिशों के बाद लिया गया है। उनका साइ से अनुबंध फरवरी 2019 से लेकर ओलंपिक तक था।’’ भारतीय कुश्ती महासंघ के सहायक सचिव विनोद तोमर ने फैसले का बचाव किया।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हमने उन्हें विशेषकर ओलंपिक के लिये ही नियुक्त किया था लेकिन कोई नतीजे नहीं मिले। उनका अनुबंध इस साल अगस्त तक था लेकिन तब तक कोई राष्ट्रीय शिविर ही नहीं है तो वह अब क्या करते जब ध्यान तोक्यो ओलंपिक पर लगा हुआ है इसलिये हमने साइ को बताया कि उनकी सेवाओं की जरूरत नहीं है।’’ तोमर ने कहा कि वे ओलंपिक के बाद नये विदेशी कोचों को नियुक्त करेंगे। महासंघ ने ईरान के हुसैन करीमी (फ्री स्टाइल) और अमेरिका के एंड्रयू कुक (महिलाओं के) को यह कहते हुए उनके कार्यकाल के बीच में ही बर्खास्त कर दिया कि उनके नखरे उठाना मुश्किल हो गया था।
