चोपड़ा का शुरूआती थ्रो 80.71 मीटर था जबकि उनका दूसरा और तीसरा प्रयास फाउल गया। अपने चौथे प्रयास में वह केवल 78.50 मीटर का थ्रो फेंक सके। उनका पांचवां प्रयास भी फाउल था जबकि आखिरी और छठा थ्रो 83.18 मीटर का था। चोपड़ा का मार्च में पटियाला में सीजन का सर्वश्रेष्ठ रिकॉर्ड 88.07 मीटर का था। लिस्बन प्रतियोगिता में लगभग 18 महीनों के बाद चोपड़ा की विदेशी धरती पर वापसी हुई है।
