भारत में कोरोना वायरस से निपटने के प्रयासों में मदद देने के उद्देश्य से ‘यूएस-इंडिया चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स फाउंडेशन’ ने 12 लाख डॉलर से अधिक की राशि जुटाई और करीब 120 वेंटिलेटर तथा 1,000 ऑक्सीजन सांद्रक भारत भेजे हैं।
एसएस न्यूज.वाशिंगटन। भारत में कोरोना वायरस से निपटने के प्रयासों में मदद देने के उद्देश्य से ‘यूएस-इंडिया चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स फाउंडेशन’ ने 12 लाख डॉलर से अधिक की राशि जुटाई और करीब 120 वेंटिलेटर तथा 1,000 ऑक्सीजन सांद्रक भारत भेजे हैं।
इन चिकित्सा उपकरणों को जल्द से जल्द भारत पहुंचाने में संगठन की मदद ‘यूनाइटेड एयरलाइंस’ ने की। बुधवार को एक विज्ञप्ति में यह जानकारी दी गई।
विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, कुछ उपकरण तो भारत के अस्पतालों में पहुंच भी चुके हैं और उनका इस्तेमाल भी शुरू हो गया है।
इसमें बताया गया कि ये उपकरण रेड क्रॉस के साथ-साथ हरियाणा, आंध्र प्रदेश, तेलंगाना, झारखंड, दिल्ली, मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, कर्नाटक, छत्तीसगढ़, पंजाब तथा तमिलनाडु के अस्पतालों में भेजे गए हैं।
भारतीय-अमेरिकी समुदाय के नेता अशोक मागो ने कहा, ‘‘भारत में विनाशकारी हालात बने हुए हैं लेकिन वहां के लोग इनका सामना करने में सक्षम हैं। हम सभी की मदद से वे अच्छे दिन भी देखेंगे। अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुदाय इस महामारी को काबू में करने के लिए भारत में स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों के साथ हाथ मिला रहा है और आवश्यक चिकित्सा उपकरण भेज रहा है।’’
‘बायोवर्ल्ड मर्चेंडाइजिंग’ के सीईओ राज मलिक ने 100 ऑक्सीजन सांद्रक दान दिए हैं। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हममें से कई ऐसे लोगों को जानते हैं जो निजी तौर पर इस महामारी से प्रभावित हुए, कई इसका शिकार बने और हम हर तरीके से, हर संभव मदद करना चाहते हैं।’’
‘यूएस-इंडिया चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स’ के अध्यक्ष नील गोनुगुंटला ने एक वक्तव्य में कहा कि टेक्सास का भारतीय-अमेरिकी समुदाय भारत के लिए प्रार्थना कर रहा है कि वह इस संकट से जल्द से जल्द उबर जाए।
