विडियो कान्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस कार्यक्रम देशभर में आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें कृषि एवं पंचायती राज मंत्री नरेंद्र तोमर सहित हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल और अन्य राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों तथा उपायुक्तों इत्यादि ने हिस्सा लिया। सोनीपत में विडियो कान्फ्रेेंस के माध्यम से कार्यक्रम का सीधा प्रसारण लघु सचिवालय के एनआईसी कक्ष में किया गया। यहां कार्यवाहक उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार बंसल ने सामड़ी लोहचब ग्राम पंचायत को प्रशस्ति पत्र भेंट किया। ग्राम पंचायत की सरपंच अंजू देवी की अनुपस्थिति के चलते प्रशस्ति पत्र बीडीपीओ राजेश टिवाना ने प्राप्त किया।

इस दौरान कार्यवाहक उपायुक्त अशोक बंसल ने स्वामित्व योजना के अंतर्गत पांच व्यक्तियों को संपत्ति कार्ड/टाईटल डीड सौंपी, जिनमें सिलाना गांव के सचिन, सिलाना के ही ऋषि, गोरड़ के मुकेश तथा रिढ़ाऊ के सुरेंद्र और रिढ़ाऊ के नरेश शामिल रहे।
इस मौके पर कार्यवाहक उपायुक्त बंसल ने बताया कि राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस के मौके पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने देशभर की 313 ग्राम पंचायतों को पांच प्रकार के पुरस्कारों से सुशोभित किया है, जिसके अंतर्गत ग्राम पंचायतों के बैंक खातों में करीब 45 करोड़ रुपये की पुरस्कार राशि प्रेषित की गई है।

इन पुरस्कारों में दीनदयाल उपाध्याय पंचायत सशक्तिकरण पुरस्कार, नाना जी देशमुख राष्ट्रीय गौरव ग्राम सभा पुरस्कार, बाल हितैषी ग्राम पंचायत पुरस्कार, ग्राम पंचायत विकास परियोजना पुरस्कार और ई-पंचायत पुरस्कार शामिल रहे। साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री ने स्वामित्व योजना के अंतर्गत सात राज्यों (हरियाणा, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्यप्रदेश, कर्नाटक, उत्तराखंड, महाराष्ट्र और राजस्थान) के 5002 गांवों के चार लाख से अधिक लोगों को संपत्ति कार्ड भी प्रदान किये हैं, जिनमें सोनीपत के भी पांच लोग शामिल रहे। हरियाणा राज्य के कुल 1308 लोगों को संपत्ति कार्ड प्रदान किये गये।
