टोल टैक्स प्वाइंटों के खिलाफ आसपास के 11 गांवों के सरपंचों के नेतृत्व में ग्रामीण धरने पर बैठे हैं। सांसद दीपेन्द्र हुड्डा ने उनकी बात सुनने के बाद टोल हटाने की मांग करते हुए कहा कि सरकार स्पष्ट करे कि इन सड़कों पर किस आधार पर टोल लगाये गए हैं, क्योंकि टोल लगाने का कोई औचित्य नहीं बनता है। इसे हटवाने के लिये हर स्तर पर कोशिश की जायेगी। इसके लिये विधानसभा से लेकर संसद तक आवाज उठाएंगे।
दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने आगे कहा कि इन दिनों एक बार फिर से कोरोना संक्रमण के मामलों में तेज वृद्धि हुई है। ऐसे में सरकार समय रहते सतर्कता दिखाए और टेस्टिंग, ट्रैकिंग, वैक्सीनेशन में तेज़ी लाये। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कोरोना वैक्सीन पर उम्र की पाबंदियों को हटाकर इसे हर आयु वर्ग के लिये खोल दिया जाए और ज्यादा से ज्यादा टीकाकरण पर ध्यान दिया जाए।
सांसद दीपेन्द्र हुड्डा को दिए ज्ञापन में ग्रामीणों ने कहा कि इलाके में पाल्हावास-पटौदी की तरफ औड़ियार रोड पर चौकी नंबर-1 टोल के अलावा कोसली कनीना नाहड़ रोड पर एक टोल हेलीमंडी-कलाना रोड पर टोल वसूली से इलाके के लोगों में भारी रोष है। इलाके में लोक निर्माण विभाग (भवन एवं सड़कें) द्वारा लगाए गए कमर्शियल टोल टैक्स पॉइंट पूरी तरह से नाजायज है। क्योंकि इस इलाके के किसान और ट्रांसपोर्टरों का आवागमन रेवाड़ी और हेली मंडी की ओर ही होता है। रेवाड़ी की तरफ लगभग 9 किलोमीटर पर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग का गंगायचा टोल पड़ता है और अब पटौदी की तरफ लगभग 4 किलोमीटर पर चौकी नंबर-1 के सामने नया टोल लगा दिया गया है। दोनों तरफ से टोल टैक्स वसूली के चलते स्थानीय लोगों का आना-जाना दूभर हो गया है। लोग अपने वाहनों को न तो हेली मंडी या पाल्हावास की ओर पेट्रोल पंपों पर ले जा पा रहे हैं न ही किराये पर चलने वाले छोटे-बड़े कमर्शियल वाहनों को निर्धारित अड्डों पर खड़ा कर पा रहे हैं। क्योंकि उन्हें रोजाना के हिसाब से 300 रुपये का टैक्स भरना पड़ता है। इसके चलते स्थानीय आवागमन करने वालों के लिये भारी परेशानी खड़ी हो गयी है। साथ ही ट्रांस्पोर्टरों की रोजी-रोटी पर भी संकट पैदा हो गया है।

नये टोल प्वाईंट के चलते किराये, भाड़े में भी वृद्धि होगी, जिसकी सबसे ज्यादा चोट स्थानीय लोगों पर ही पड़ेगी। ग्रामीणों के अनुसार इस लोकल सड़क की चौड़ाई मात्र 20 फुट है और पुलिस के बैरियर लगाने के बाद लंबा जाम लगने लगा है। एंबुलेंस जैसी अति आवश्यक वाहनों को भी निकलने की जगह नहीं बचती थी। इलाके के लोगों ने यह भी बताया कि इन टोलों पर वसूली का ठेका भाजपा, जजपा गठबंधन सरकार से जुड़े करीबी लोगों को दिया गया है।
दीपेन्द्र हुड्डा ने कहा कि हरियाणा में बेरोज़गारी चरम पर है, डीजल, पेट्रोल, रसोई गैस की कीमतें आसमान छू रही हैं। हर वर्ग महंगाई से त्रस्त है प्रदेश की अर्थव्यवस्था का भट्ठा बैठ चुका है। पहले से ही खस्ताहाल अर्थव्यवस्था लगातार दूसरे साल कोविड की मार झेलने की स्थिति में नहीं है। उन्होंने प्रदेशवासियों से भी अपील करी कि कोरोना वायरस की चेन को तोड़ने के लिये स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा जारी दिशा-निर्देशों का पूर्ण पालन करें, सचेत रहे और पूरी सावधानी बरतते हुए एक दूसरे का ख्याल रखें।
