शहीदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में बड़ी स्थित अपोलो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में इंटर अपोलो वॉलीबॉल प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम अपोलो पट्टीकल्याणा की टीम रही, जबकि द्वितीय स्थान अपोलो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल बड़ी ने प्राप्त किया। प्रतियोगिता में करनाल की टीम तीसरे स्थान पर रही।

आयोजकों की ओर से रजनी शर्मा ने कहा कि हम जिस खुली हवा में सांस ले रहे है, वह इन शहीदों की बदौलत ही है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के ही दिन क्रांतिकारी सरदार भगत सिंह, राजगुरु व सुखदेव को फांसी की सजा दी गई थी। इन्होंने हंसते हंसते अपने आप को देश के पर कुर्बान कर दिया था। हमें ऐसे क्रांतिकारियों की जीवनी को पढ़ना चाहिए और सीखना चाहिए कि देश प्रेम क्या होता है।
