सांसद दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने सोनीपत-दिल्ली स्थित 25 किलोमीटर लंबे सिंघु बार्डर धरने पर कहा कि किसान आंदोलन जन आंदोलन में बदल चुका है यह किसान की नाराजगी राष्ट्रहित में नहीं है। दीपेंद्र हुड्डा के साथ सोनीपत विधायक सुरेंद्र पंवार और नगर निगम मेयर निखिल मदान साथ रहे।

सांसद दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने सोनीपत-दिल्ली स्थित 25 किलोमीटर लंबे सिंघु बार्डर धरने पर कहा कि किसान आंदोलन जन आंदोलन में बदल चुका है यह किसान की नाराजगी राष्ट्रहित में नहीं है। दीपेंद्र हुड्डा के साथ सोनीपत विधायक सुरेंद्र पंवार और नगर निगम मेयर निखिल मदान साथ रहे।
सांसद दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने सोनीपत नगर निगम के मेयर निखिल मदान को धरनास्थल पर बुनियादी सुविधाओं पानी, शौचालय, साफ-सफाई, फॉगिंग आदि की पूर्ति के निर्देश दिये और नगर निगम सोनीपत को जिम्मेदारी सौंपी। दीपेंद्र ने कहा कि जिन कानूनों से किसान नाराज हैं, उन्हें किसानों के हित के नाम पर जबरदस्ती क्यों थोपा जा रहा है। इसको सरकार ने इज्जत-बेईज्जती का सवाल न बना लिया यह इगो उचित नहीं है। सरकार और किसानों के बीच टकराव स्थित ना बने इसका समाधान करे 19 जनवरी को होने वाली बैठक में किसानों की मांगों को स्वीकार करे।
उन्होंने कहा कि किसान का बेटा होने के नाते और बतौर जनप्रतिनिधि, पिछले 54 दिनों से चल रहे किसान आन्दोलन में सेवा करना उनका पहला कर्तव्य है। सत्ता के घमंड में यह सरकार संवेदनहीन हो गयी है। उसने किसानियत और इंसानियत दोनों से नाता तोड़ लिया है। आर्थिक सहयोग व नौकरी देना तो दूर की बात, शहीद किसानों के परिवारों के प्रति सहानुभूति के दो शब्द भी नहीं कहे। हरियाणा के प्रत्येक किसान के परिवार को कांग्रेस विधायक दल द्वारा 2-2 लाख रुपये की आर्थिक मदद देने का धन्यवाद किया और कहा कि आगे भी हर संभव मदद की जायेगी। हरियाणा यूथ कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष सचिन कुंडू, सुरेन्द्र दहिया, मनोज रिढाऊ, सुरेन्द्र छिकारा, कमल हसीजा, मनोहर कुमार, राजीव सीकरी, ललित पवार, रणदीप दहिया, जसपाल खेवड़ा, दिनेश हुडा, सियाराम आंतिल, रवि दहिया सहित अनेकों स्थानीय लोग मौजूद रहे।
