जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त श्याम लाल पूनिया ने बताया कि नगर निगम चुनावों में मंगलवार को सात प्रत्याशियों ने मेयर पद के लिए नामांकन भरा है। इनमें एक प्रत्याशी ने दो नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किये हैं। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त पूनिया ने कहा कि निकाय चुनावों के अंतर्गत नामांकन प्रक्रिया जारी है। आज मेयर पद के लिए सात उम्मीदवारों ने पर्चा भरा है।

जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त पूनिया ने कहा कि निकाय चुनावों के अंतर्गत नामांकन प्रक्रिया जारी है। आज मेयर पद के लिए सात उम्मीदवारों ने पर्चा भरा है। इनमें सबसे कम उम्र की प्रत्याशी एक महिला है। इनका नाम निखिता मदान है जिनकी आयु 29 वर्ष है। पेशे से ये एक व्यवसायी हैं। मेयर पद के लिए इनके बाद दूसरे सर्वाधिक युवा प्रत्याशी के रूप में ललित मदान ने नामांकन जमा करवाया है, जिनकी आयु 30 वर्ष है। ललित मदान एक व्यवसायी हैं।

मेयर पद के लिए सर्वाधिक आयु वाले उम्मीदवार के रूप में ललित ने नामांकन भरा है, जिनकी आयु 59 वर्ष है। ललित वेतनभोगी/व्यवसायी हैं। ललित ने मेयर पद के लिए दो नामांकन पत्र जमा करवाये हैं। महिला उम्मीदवार के रूप में नीता ने नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किया है, जिनकी आयु 58 वर्ष है। नीता एक व्यवसायी हैं। मेयर पद के लिए 49 वर्षीय संत धर्मवीर चोटिवाला ने नामांकन पत्र जमा करवाया है, जो कि एक अधिवक्ता हैं और खेती करते हैं। इनके अलावा मेयर पद के लिए 41 वर्षीय धर्मबीर ने नामांकन पत्र दाखिल करवाया है यह मजदूरी करते हैं।

जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त पूनिया ने कहा कि नगर निगम चुनावों में नामांकन पत्र दाखिल करवाने की अंतिम तिथि 16 दिसंबर है। इस दिन दोपहर बाद 03:00 बजे तक नामांकन पत्र जमा करवाये जा सकते हैं। उन्होंने जानकारी दी कि 17 दिसंबर को नामांकन पत्रों की छंटनी व वापसी का दिन है। इसके उपरांत 18दिसंबर को उम्मीदवारों को चुनाव चिन्ह आवंटित किये जायेंगे।
