वे गोहाना भाजपा कार्यालय में आयोजित पत्रकार वार्ता में बोल रहे थे इनके साथ सोनीपत लोकसभा के सासंद रमेश चंद्र कौशिक भी रहे। पूर्व मंत्री रामविलास शर्मा ने कहा कि बापू-बेटा पहले दो लोकसभा चुनाव हार गए और जब राज्यसभा की बारी आई तो पूरे हरियाणा में कोई और नेता नहीं मिला, दीपेंद्र को राज्यसभा भेज दिया।

कांग्रेस का अपनी भाषा पर भी संयम नहीं है, वह योगेश्वर दत्त जैसे उम्मीदवार को पराक्रमी खिलाड़ी को सर्कस का शेर कहते है। उन्होंने कहा कि योगेश्वर दत्त बड़े दिल के इंसान हैं, ओलंपिक में सिल्वर पदक विजेता की मृत्यु के पश्चात जब वह डोप टेस्ट में पॉजिटिव पाए गए तो वह मैडल योगेश्वर दत्त के नाम कर दिया गया, परंतु योगेश्वर दत्त ने दिल बड़ा करके उस मैडल को लेने से मना कर दिया व उसके साथ मिलने वाली पांच करोड़ की राशि को भी ठुकरा दिया। यह है त्याग की मुरत योगेश्वर दत्त भारत मां के सच्चे सपूत।

भाजपा के उम्मीदवार योगेश्वर दत्त ने विधायक मोहनलाल कौशिक, जजपा नेता डॉ केसी बांगड़ ने सराना, गिवाना, बिलबिलान, आंवली, रिवाडा गांवों का दौरा किया। योगेश्वर दत्त ने कहा कि मैं जो भी कार्य करता हूं, राजनीति कि दृष्टि से नहीं करता। मैं सभी कार्य हो या आप लोगों के बीच की समस्याएं हो, उनको पूरा करने के लिए दिल से कार्य करता हूं। आप लोगों के बीच में रहूंगा और आपके सुख दुख में सदैव भागी रहूंगा।
