हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार राजीव जैन के अथक प्रयासों की बदौलत शहर के आधा दर्जन से अधिक क्षेत्रों को शीघ्र ही बिजली कटौती सरीखी समस्याओं से पूर्ण निजात मिलने जा रही है। करीब तीन करोड़ रुपये की लागत से सेक्टर-23 में 33 केवी का सब स्टेशन स्थापित किया जा रहा है, जिसका निर्माण कार्य नवंबर माह में पूरा होने की उम्मीद है।
भाजपा नेता राजीव जैन ने रविवार को सेक्टर-23 में स्थापित किये जा रहे 33 केवी सब स्टेशन के निर्माण कार्य का जायजा लिया। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले करीब दस वर्षों से इस सब स्टेशन की मांग की जा रही थी। उन्होंने कहा कि एक दशक पूर्व ही इस सब स्टेशन को स्वीकृति मिल गई थी, किंतु भूमि विवाद के चलते निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ नहीं हो सका। लोगों की जरूरत व मांग को देखते हुए उन्होंने इस दिशा में सकारात्मक प्रयास किये। जैन ने कहा कि उनके द्वारा किये गये प्रयासों को सफलता मिली और जमीन के विवाद को सुलझा लिया गया। सब स्टेशन की स्थापना से सेक्टर-23 सहित आसपास की आधा दर्जन से अधिक कालोनियों में बिजली की समस्या से लोगों को छुटकारा मिलेगा। इन क्षेत्रों में प्रमुख रूप से गढ़ी ब्राह्मणान, ककरोई रोड, प्रगति नगर, शास्त्री कालोनी, गढ़ी घसीटा तथा मयूर विहार और सरस्वती विहार शामिल है। जैन ने कहा कि सब स्टेशन शुरु होने के उपरांत इन कालोनियों में बिजली कट तथा ओवर लोडिंग जैसी समस्याएं पूरी तरह से खत्म हो जाएंगी। लोगों को अब बिजली की बेहतरीन आपूर्ति के लिए अधिक इंतजार नहीं करना पड़ेगा। इस मौके पर रामधन मलिक, कुलदीप सिंह, अनिल ठेकेदार, प्रेम राठी, बलजीत सिंह, सुरेंद्र शर्मा, आजाद सिंह, प्रताप सिंह, जसबीर सिंह और राकेश कुमार आदि
