गन्नौर क्षेत्र में कंटेनर डिपो के लिए बिछाई जा रही रेलवे लाईन के साथ की रेलवे की जमीन से कई फुट मिट्टी उठान से किसान परेशान हैं। को अपनी जमीन के कटाव का भय सताने लगा है। किसानों का आरोप है कि माईनिंग विभाग भी जमीन से निर्धारित मिट्टी उठान के लिए अनुमति देता है लेकिन, रेलवे के संबधित विभाग के अधिकारियों की अनदेखी के चलते रेलवे लाईन बिछाने के लिए कई फुट मिट्टी का उठान कर लिया गया है। किसानों का कहना कि अब हालात ये है कि अगर थोड़ी ही बरसात हो जाती है तो उसके साथ लगाए दर्जनों पेड़ गिरकर नष्ट हो जाएंगे। साथ ही साथ लगते उनके खेतों की मिट्टी के कटाव को भी नही रोका जा सकेगा। खुदाई के कार्य की देख रेख कर रहे एक कर्मी ने पूछने पर बताया कि यह मामला रेलवे सोनीपत के अधिकारियों के संज्ञान में है। उनके आदेश के बाद ही ऐसा किया जा रहा है। किसानों ने रेलवे के उच्च अधिकारियों से मांग की कि मिट्टी उठान मामले की जांच की जानी चाहिए और साथ ही उसमें मिट्टी भरवाई जाई जानी चाहिए।
रेलवे के सोनीपत एक्सईन ओ पी नागपाल ने बताया कि मिट्टी उठाने का मामला उनके संज्ञान में नही है। यह काम सोनीपत रेलवे का नही बल्कि कंटेनर डिपो से संबधित अधिकारी करवा रहे है। वे इस मामले की जांच करवाते हैं। उधर एसडीएम सुरेंद्र पाल ने बताया कि यदि निर्धारित मापदंड से अधिक मिट्टी उठाई गई तो वे इस बारे में रेलवे विभाग के अधिकारियों से बातचीत की जाएगी, ताकि साथ लगते खेत के किसानों को नुकसान न हो।
