Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 Dates: चुनाव आयोग आज दोपहर 12.30 बजे प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस कर रहा है। इसमें बिहार में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनावों की तारीखों का ऐलान किया जा सकता है। इसके साथ ही मध्य प्रदेश में होने वाले 27 सीटों पर उपचुनाव की तारीखों की घोषणा भी हो सकती है। 243 सदस्यीय बिहार विधानसभा का कार्यकाल 29 नवंबर को खत्म होने जा रहा है।
अगस्त महीने में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कोरोनावायरस के चलते बिहार चुनाव टालने को लेकर लगाई याचिका को खारिज कर दिया थी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि कोरोना के चलते एक राज्य के चुनाव को टाला नहीं जा सकता। कोर्ट चुनाव आयोग को निर्देश नहीं दे सकता।
पिछले बिहार विधानसभा चुनावों को बार 5 चरणों में किया गया था। कोरोना के चलते इस बार 2 से 3 चरणों में चुनाव कराए जा सकते हैं।
चुनाव आयोग ने 4 सितंबर को घोषणा करके ये बताया था कि उसने बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव के लगभग साथ ही 65 लंबित उपचुनावों को भी कराने का फैसला किया है। ऐसे में हो सकता है कि आज ही उपचुनावों की तारीखों की घोषणा कर दें।
