क्लीन विलेज ग्रीन विलेज अभियान के तहत नेहरू युवा केंद्र कुरुक्षेत्र युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय भारत सरकार के राष्ट्रीय युवा स्वयं सेवकों के द्वारा विभिन्न गांव में पौधारोपण और सफाई अभियान का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस मुहिम के तहत जिला युवा समन्वयक मिशा और लेखा लिपिका कांता देवी के नेतृत्व में राष्ट्रीय युवा स्वयंसेवक विक्रम सिंह, सहयोगी भीम सिंह योगी के द्वारा ग्रामीण युवा विकास मंडल बारवा, ग्राम पंचायत बारवा व ग्रामीणों के सहयोग से गांव बारवा के राजकीय उच्च विद्यालय बारवा व राजकीय प्राथमिक पाठशाला बारवा में स्वच्छता अभियान व पौधारोपण अभियान का आयोजन किया गया।
इस अभियान में गांव बारवा से सरपंच जसविंदर सिंह जस्सू, पंच विक्रम शर्मा, पंच अंग्रेज सिंह, पंच गगनेंद्र सिंह, पंच सुनील कुमार, समाजसेवी अंग्रेज राठौर, गुरमीत अल्याण, मंगल राम प्रधान बाजीगर सभा, प्रदीप कुमार, कुलदीप राठौर, बुट्टा राम, जोगिंदर सिंह मौजूद रहे। गांव बारवा में कार्यरत सफाई कर्मी जयदेव कुमार, मामू राम ने कार्यक्रम में सहयोग प्रदान किया। दोनों स्कूल की तरफ से सफाई कर्मी गुरमेल सिंह व बिकी राम ने भी अपना अहम योगदान दिया। सरपंच जसविंदर सिंह जस्सू ने कहा कि प्रकृति भगवान द्वारा दिया गया मनुष्य को विशेष उपहार है, हमें प्रकृति को बचा कर रखना चाहिए, इसलिए हमें अधिक से अधिक पौधे लगाने चाहिए और उनका पालना पोषण करना चाहिए।
