केजरीवाल ने कहा कि 93.3 फीसदी मतदाताओं ने भगवंत मान के पक्ष में मतदान किया। एक पूर्व कॉमेडियन, मान वर्तमान में संगरूर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोकसभा में सांसद हैं।
नई दिल्ली: संगरूर से लोकसभा सांसद भगवंत मान को आगामी पंजाब विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री पद का उम्मीदवार घोषित किया गया है। AAP के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक और दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने अपने नाम की घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि पंजाब के 21 लाख से अधिक लोगों ने राज्य के लिए AAP के सीएम चेहरे का निर्धारण करने के अभियान में भाग लिया और अपना मत दिया।
केजरीवाल ने कहा, “मुझसे हर जगह पूछा जाएगा कि मैं जाऊंगा कि सीएम उम्मीदवार कौन होगा।” उन्होंने कहा, “राज्य की अन्य पार्टियां अतीत में अपने बच्चों या रिश्तेदारों को पंजाब के लिए सीएम उम्मीदवार के रूप में नियुक्त करती रही हैं। अगर मैं भगवंत मान को सीएम उम्मीदवार के रूप में चुनता और घोषित करता, तो लोग मुझ पर भाई-भतीजावाद का आरोप लगाते।
केजरीवाल ने आपने ट्वीट कर कहा, “मैं सरदार भगवंत मान को पंजाब में आप का मुख्यमंत्री चेहरा घोषित किए जाने पर बधाई देता हूं। पूरा पंजाब आप को एक उम्मीद के तौर पर देख रहा है। यह एक बहुत बड़ी जिम्मेदारी है और मुझे यकीन है कि भगवंत हर पंजाबी के चेहरे पर मुस्कान लाएंगे।

आम आदमी पार्टी अब तक राज्य की 117 सीटों वाली विधानसभा के लिए 109 उम्मीदवारों की घोषणा कर चुकी है। पार्टी ने चमकौर साहिब सीट से कांग्रेस सदस्य और पंजाब के सीएम चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी के खिलाफ डॉ चरणजीत सिंह को मैदान में उतारा है। डॉ बलवीर सिंह को पटियाला से मैदान में उतारा गया है जो पंजाब के पूर्व सीएम कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह का घरेलू मैदान है।
