नई दिल्ली: इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) के नवीनतम विकास में, शीर्षक प्रायोजक चीनी मोबाइल निर्माता वीवो को घरेलू व्यापार समूह टाटा के साथ बदल दिया गया है। इस जानकारी की पुष्टि आईपीएल चेयरमैन बृजेश पटेल ने न्यूज एजेंसी पीटीआई से की।
आईपीएल की संचालन परिषद ने मंगलवार को बुलाई गई बैठक में आईपीएल टाइटल प्रायोजकों को बदलने का फैसला किया। आईपीएल के चेयरमैन बृजेश पटेल ने पीटीआई से कहा, ‘हां, टाटा ग्रुप आईपीएल टाइटल स्पॉन्सर के तौर पर आ रहा है।
विवो के पास 2018-2022 तक आईपीएल टाइटल स्पॉन्सरशिप राइट्स के लिए 2200 करोड़ रुपये का सौदा था, लेकिन 2020 में भारतीय और चीनी सेना के सैनिकों के बीच गैलवान वैली मिलिट्री फेस-ऑफ के बाद, चीनी मोबाइल ब्रांड ने ड्रीम 11 की जगह एक साल के लिए ब्रेक ले लिया। हालाँकि, वीवो 2021 में आईपीएल टाइटल स्पॉन्सर के रूप में वापस आ गया था।

आईपीएल संचालन परिषद भी आज आगामी सत्र के लिए आईपीएल मेगा नीलामी के तौर-तरीकों पर फैसला करने के लिए तैयार है। अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि आईपीएल 2022 की मेगा नीलामी फरवरी के दूसरे सप्ताह में बेंगलुरु में होगी। आईपीएल 2022 दो और नई टीमों को भी ला रहा है, जिससे कैश-रिच टूर्नामेंट 10-टीम का मामला बन जाएगा।
बढ़ते कोरोनावायरस मामलों और ओमाइक्रोन के एक नए तनाव के कारण, 15वें सीज़न के संभावित स्थानों और मैच की तारीखों पर बड़ा खतरा मंडरा रहा है। भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) ने अभी तक मेगा नीलामी की तारीख और स्थान को अंतिम रूप नहीं दिया है।
