कोर्ट और जजों की अवमानना के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सीनियर एडवोकेट प्रशांत भूषण पर 1 रुपए का जुर्माना लगाया है। इस फैसले के अनुसार 15 सितंबर तक जुर्माना नहीं भरने पर 3 महीने की जेल भी हो सकती है और तीन साल के लिए उन्हें वकालत से निलंबित भी किया जा सकता है। आपको बता दें कि 63 वर्षीय प्रशांत भूषण (Prashant Bhushan) ने यह कहते हुए पीछे हटने या माफी मांगने से इनकार कर दिया कि यह उनकी अंतरात्मा और न्यायालय की अवमानना होगी। उनके वकील ने तर्क दिया है कि अदालत को प्रशांत भूषण (Prashant Bhushan) की अत्यधिक आलोचना झेलनी चाहिए क्योंकि अदालत के “कंधे इस बोझ को उठाने के लिए काफी हैं।”
