भारतीय सेना की वर्दी पहने ये आतंकी पंजाब के कठुआ-गुरदासपुर बॉर्डर से भारत में दाखिल हुए थे. हमला 2 जनवरी 2016 को शुरू हुआ और तीन दिनों तक जारी रहा। हालांकि बाद में नेशनल सिक्योरिटी गार्ड्स (एनएसजी) ने आतंकियों को मार गिराया। कथित तौर पर जैश-ए-मोहम्मद (JeM) द्वारा किए गए इस हमले ने भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच तनाव को बढ़ा दिया था। इस साल जून में जैमी एयरफोर्स स्टेशन के हाई-सिक्योरिटी टेक्निकल एरिया में दो धमाके हुए थे. घटना में दो कर्मियों को मामूली चोटें आई हैं।
