मंत्रालय के अनुसार, दोनों पक्ष संचार बनाए रखने और जमीन पर स्थिरता बनाए रखने पर भी सहमत हुए हैं। सेना ने कहा, “हमारी उम्मीद है कि चीनी पक्ष द्विपक्षीय संबंधों के समग्र परिप्रेक्ष्य को ध्यान में रखेगा और द्विपक्षीय समझौतों और प्रोटोकॉल का पूरी तरह से पालन करते हुए शेष मुद्दों के जल्द समाधान की दिशा में काम करेगा।”
हॉट स्प्रिंग, डेपसांग और डेमचोक में तनावपूर्ण गतिरोध के साथ पूर्वी लद्दाख में एलएसी के पास भारतीय सेना और चीनी पीएलए के लगभग 60,000 सैनिक तैनात हैं। गलवान, गोगरा और पैंगोंग झील के उत्तरी और दक्षिणी किनारे पर भी गतिरोध थे और 12 पिछली कोर कमांडरों की वार्ता की एक श्रृंखला के दौरान हासिल किए गए प्रस्तावों के बाद सैनिकों ने पारस्परिक रूप से विघटित कर दिया।
