नई दिल्ली: काफी राजनीतिक ड्रामा के बाद नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू पंजाब कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष बने रहेंगे और एक समन्वय समिति गठित किए जाने की संभावना है, जिससे भविष्य में पंजाब सरकार द्वारा महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेने से पहले विचार-विमर्श किया जाएगा।
सिद्धू ने गुरुवार (30 सितंबर) को पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी से मुलाकात की और पंजाब कांग्रेस भवन में दो घंटे से अधिक की बैठक के बाद यह निर्णय लिया गया। बैठक में कांग्रेस नेता और केंद्रीय पर्यवेक्षक हरीश चौधरी, मंत्री परगट सिंह और पंजाब कांग्रेस के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष कुलजीत नागरा भी शामिल थे।

कांग्रेस के एक सूत्र ने समाचार एजेंसी को बताया, “पैनल में सीएम नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू और अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी (एआईसीसी) के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हो सकते हैं।” सूत्र ने कहा कि इस संबंध में जल्द ही एक घोषणा की उम्मीद है। सिद्धू ने मंगलवार को डीजीपी, राज्य के महाधिवक्ता और “दागी” नेताओं की नियुक्ति सहित कई मुद्दों पर पंजाब कांग्रेस प्रमुख के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। सिद्धू के इस्तीफे के बाद, एक मंत्री और उनके करीबी माने जाने वाले कुछ अन्य नेताओं ने भी इस्तीफा दे दिया।

इस बीच, पंजाब के पूर्व सीएम अमरिंदर सिंह ने कहा कि वह कांग्रेस छोड़ देंगे लेकिन बीजेपी में शामिल नहीं होंगे। दिल्ली में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से मुलाकात के बाद कैप्टन के भगवा पार्टी में जाने की अफवाहें उड़ी थीं। अमरिंदर सिंह के हवाले से एएनआई ने कहा, “मैंने पहले भी कहा था कि नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू पंजाब के लिए सही आदमी नहीं हैं, और अगर वह चुनाव लड़ते हैं, तो मैं उन्हें जीतने नहीं दूंगा।
